pain/ soreness/ recovery
Save Tip
the gym i go to in vail has a cold plunge (temp kept at around 50 degrees F i think, it's COLD). after a hard workout, i like to do contrast baths by sitting in the hot tub for a while, then jumping in the cold plunge for as long as i can stand it. really gets the blood and lymphatic fluids going, speeding recovery. you could probably get close by using a hot tub/steam room/bath and a cold shower. try going back and forth a few times. i've also been using the supplement Co-Q10, and it seems to be helping with limiting muscle soreness/ helping with recovery. it's also supposed to help with preserving brain function.
