"Barbell lifts are the functional expression of the human anatomy under a load.
The deadlift is the functional lift which mimics picking an object up off the ground.
Basically you need to barbell deadlifts and (with correct form) increase the
load of the bar you are lifting off the ground. Period.
So throw away the chest press machine and bicep curls for 2 days out of the week.
