Eat Less Later
|
|
Diet and Nutrition
"Eat Less later - Everyone knows, whether they want to admit it or not, reducing late night calories will help you lose weight. However, just as you should reduce the calorie intake, you need to know when to eat. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and the one meal that you should not miss.
Lunch should be healthy but less than you ate for breakfast. As you approach dinner, eat healthy and light. Avoid after dinner snacks and DO NOT Eat at least 3 hours before you lay your head down for the evening. If you are hungry after dinner...you didn't eat enough during the day."

Visualize Your Goals!
|
|
General/Other
"Visualize Clearly and Often - Design your new body in your mind first. You cannot achieve your idea of the perfect body if you don't have an idea of what the perfect body means to you. Take 10 minutes when you are sure not to be disturbed by people or phone calls, get comfortable, fully relax, and then begin to dream about what you will look like when you have achieved your goal.
Be specific, what will your calves look like, your legs, your butt, your lower back, your stomach, your chest, your upper back, your shoulders, your neck and your face. Then review this image as often throughout each day as possible (never less than 3x/day).
Visualize. Review. Win.

Keep it Straight
|
|
General/Other
"Keep it Straight - The Stairmaster, treadmill and stationary bikes are excellent pieces of cardio equipment but there is a right way and a wrong way! Slouching over the display panel or supporting your body weight on the rails limits the muscle usage and increases risk of injury.
Standing upright and using the rails for balance only uses your core body muscles for balance and support. Get more out of your cardio workout... stand up!"

Six Pack Abs
|
|
General/Other
"Abdominal muscles are obvioulsy a common goal in the fitness industry.
Here's a news flash, almost everyone has washboard abs, they just have all that "dirty laundry" (i.e. fat!) sitting on them and you can't see them. The only way to see those highly sought after ripples of flesh is to get rid of that "dirty laundry" and burn fat! Check out my articles on how to workout your abdominal muscles and burn fat at www.homeofficeworkouts.com

Squeeze your glutes for better squats
|
|
General/Other
"Before you attempt any squating or lunging motion in an effort to firm up or tone those buns make sure you can perform a hip lift correctly first.
Lying on your back, knees bent and feet flat on the floot - keep you feet and knees together. Raise your hips up until you create a straight line from your shoulders to knees. Where should you feel it:
1.) Glutes
2.) Hamstrings
3.) Quads
4.) Lower back
In that order. If you don't...literally use your thumbs and jab yourself in the glutes until you feel them doing most of the work.
Squeeze you glutes. Squeeze em again. Win.

Plan Ahead
|
|
Diet and Nutrition
"The next time that you plan a night out, take your time when choosing the restaurant. Steer clear of buffet style restaurants that encourage overeating or fast food restaurants that don't offer healthy choices. Pick a restaurant that caters to your healthy side."

Drink enough water!
|
|
Diet and Nutrition
"Water is a key component to life. No living creature can survive without a fresh supply of pure water each and every day. If you do not consume enough fresh water every day, your body will age faster, appear fatter, be more susceptible to germs and colds, lose joint mobility, and much more.
Generally speaking, most people who weigh less than 150 pounds require no less than 8-10 glasses per day; those who weigh between 150-250 pounds require about 16 glasses per day.
Drink water. Workout. Win.

Its not how you start...
|
|
General/Other
"...it's about how you finish!
It is true that the toughest part of beginning an exercise program of any kind is just that - the beginning. Getting through the first two weeks is paramount to developing a reasonable chance of success. However what is just, if not more, as important is finishing - that is to keep going. When and where is the finish line? Is it the day you pass on?
Wouldn't we like to think so?
Start strong. Be Strong. Finish Strong.

Inspiration from Winnie the Pooh
|
|
General/Other
""Well," said Pooh, "What I like best....," and then he stopped, because, although Eating Honey was a very good thing, there was a moment just before you beggan to eat it, which was even better, but he didn't know what it was called.
~A. A. Milne, Author, Playwright, Creator of "Winnie the Pooh"
