Avoid soda when training
Save Tip
Although it is not a proven fact, it has been suggested that it is not good to drink soda while in training. It is said that carbonated drinks can have an adverse effect on bone strength in girls. This has been said about diet sodas as well. Many people consume a significant amount of calories from soft drinks on a daily basis. Consequently, this takes the place of a nutritional diet. Cutting out soda from your diet altogether is unnecessary, but like everything else, moderation is key.

It was not easy. I tried diet soda but I did not like the taste. I also had to deal with peers who thought I had gone a lil crazy ( I started requesting for water / red wine at social events, instead of the regular soda or beer) . I have noticed an improvement in my skin since I quit soda...
"It surprises me because diet soda has no calories so you would think it wouldn't make a difference. ” Well I guess it is laden with chemicals and what have you...so although it has no calories...it has other ingredients that are likely to sabotage your fitness goals.

It's awesome that you were able to give up soda completely. I'm like seriously addicted to diet coke, but it's amazing the difference I see when I cut it out of my diet. It surprises me because diet soda has no calories so you would think it wouldn't make a difference.
