How to Fit Exercise in How to Fit Exercise in
Save Tip

When you work or have other obligations, it may become difficult to fit in as much exercise as you may like. So, if you haven't been able to get to the gym as much as you would like, it does not mean you can still fit some exercising in. For instance....

*When you are watching TV at home, decide to do push-ups/sit-ups during the commercial break. You will be surprised how much you can accomplish in a short amount of time, and you won't feel as guilty for just sitting on your bottoms the whole night.

*Instead of driving to a close by store or restaurant to pick up food....WALK. I decided to try this out over the weekend, and it makes you feel good!

*Even if you don't have time or energy to go to the gym for as long as you would like, don't let that stop you from going. Go for twenty minutes and do some cardio. Maybe it's not as much exercise as you would like to have, but it's better than nothing at all!

Does anyone else have some ideas of how to sneak exercise in during your day?

OzzieOcean Awesome post. I often go to the gym for only 25 - 30 minutes for a light cardio workout when I am tired or crazy busy. I figure it is better than nothing at all!

OldeButGoode Take the stairs, walk aroud the block after Dinner, always consider the "long " way not the short cut, a couple of sets of push-ups before going to bed may help you sleep and walk to the store if its within a couple of miles or so.

MleighS84 i like to do core exercises for the transvere muscle throughout the day - whenever i can fit a few in - best times are in the shower and everytime I wash my hands, brush my teeth etc

runningbear I always choose a far away parking spot. While others drive around the lot wasting gas and time, I'm parked and walking toward my destination. If I'm at the mall and plan to shop stores that are not part of the main mall area, I still leave my car where it is and walk to my destination. Besides saving gas and giving me a little exercise, I've also discovered it's quicker to exit when I want to leave.
