OzzieOcean I have done this in my last 2 bicep workouts, and I can feel the difference. I am sure the difference will be visible quite soon too.

ryan I prefer ez bar too. Despite knowing that barbells give your bi's a better work, I still prefer the ez bar because the barbell puts uncomfortable strain on my wrist. So I guess it all depends on how much you want a very slight edge on working your bis.

plucky Gonna give it a try tomorrow - just so happens that's my curling day. Bummer - I've been using the EZ curl bar all this time, too!

Ron Tried this for the first time today. Awkward. Think I might have been doing it wrong. Gripping the bar incorrectly, possibly trying too much weight...or too little? Didn't really felt like it was doing anything, except possibly for my triceps.

I'll keep practicing though.

ApolloFit Yeah, so many focus on straight curls, when other forms are more effective. I like hammer curls as well, they also put more emphasis on the brachialis.

jda2387 Good advice, not to mention reverse curls train your grip and forearms as well. I don't know about drastically inflating your arms, but a well developed brachialis could potentially add an inch or so of thickness for most. Those with shorter bicep muscle bellies should consider doing hammer curls with DBs instead.
